Rocks in a hard place after losing weekend double

Despite a respectable contribution of eight point from southsider Danny Huffor, Cheshire headed away from the Emirates Arena in Glasgow with a 77-68 success against hometown Glasgow Rocks as the visitors overcome a second quarter drought to take an impressive road victory.

Phoenix wasted little time in finding a nice shooting rhythm as they amassed 26 points in the first quarter.

The home team managed to put the breaks on the visitors’ steamroller but that only slowed them down, despite the Rocks levelling the game at 32-32 by half-time.

Scottish guard Jonny Bunyan was to become the main source of production bringing in a team-high 17 points, but it wasn’t quite enough to inspire victory. Rocks failed to recover as Phoenix managed to ease to the win, with Salisbery harvesting 22 points and King landing a double-double to complete a miserable weekend for Rocks, who also lost at Sheffield.
