Rovers boss Moffat brands Shettleston "disgusting"

RAGING Carluke Rovers manager Whitey Moffat has branded Shettleston players "disgusting" for their controversial winner against his troops with just five minutes left last Wednesday night.

After Rovers had put the ball out of play for a Shettleston player to receive treatment for cramp, Whitey said the Glasgow team didn't give Carluke the ball back, and instead ran through to score the goal which clinched their promotion from Central Division 2.

Whitey fumed: "That's easily the worst incident I've ever seen during my 55 years in football. The whole thing stinks.

"What Shettleston did was not in the spirit of the game.

"But the referee's hands were tied, because there is not a rule on this issue.

"I was really disappointed, because my boys put so much into the game."
