Cumbernauld students set to scrum down in Hull

THREE Cumbernauld Collage students have been offered the opportunity of a lifetime as they prepare for a trial with professional rugby club, Hull KR.

Daryl Love, Derek McNeil and Louis Senter were given a two week trial at Hull Kingston Rovers in February. After impressing the coaching staff with their ability, they have now been invited back for a further trial and will join the club for the next two months.

Currently enrolled in the Advanced Sports Development course, which is part of the Scottish Rugby League’s Academy, the three head down south hopeful that the skills learned at the college can help them secure permanent deals.
