Sandy Lyle speaks to the Gazette


Sandy (53), was speaking exclusively to the Gazette as he is part of the design team of a new course and resort, set to be built at Kersewell Mains near Carnwath.

Hide AdHe said: “It’s something I would like to do. If the selectors want a more experienced captain then I’d be delighted to do it.


“I had some great memories of playing in the Ryder Cup. Winning in America for the first time in 1987 was definitely a highlight purely because Jack Nicklaus was their captain and we were playing on a course that he designed.”
