The six-hour walk, from Carluke to Wishaw, Neherton, Overtown and back, was organised by the team’s fund-raising organiser David Gillan. It raised around £300 to support their newly established Carluke Thistle AFC team, towards strips, league fees and insurance costs ahead of their debut campaign in next season’s Carluke and District League.
