Scotland 1-2 Italy: Where are they now?

Scotland take on Israel at Hampden Park next month knowing they are just two wins away from qualifying for a major tournament for the first time since 1998.

A win over the Israelis would see them face either Serbia or Norway away from home for a spot at the 2020 European Championships.

Here, we look back at the last time Scotland came within one match of qualifying for the Euros when, back in 2007, a heartbreaking defeat to Italy in Glasgow in the final game of qualifying saw them miss out on Euro 2008.
