State-of-the-art new home for Law AAC

LAW and District Amateur Athletics Club members used to train locally at a ramshackle stadium with track blighted by broken glass and dog’s dirt.

But, from Monday March 7, they’ll be put through their paces once a week at the state-of-the-art new £3.5 million John Cumming Stadium in Carnwath Road.

And club president Siobhan Lindsay is understandably over the moon that the club will soon be back training in Clydesdale for the first time in four years since finally cutting ties with the rundown Loch Park Stadium in Carluke’s Shieldhill Road.

“We are delighted with this move back to Carluke,” said Siobhan (45), whose club boasts 140 members.
