Stirling County seal Premier 2 with win at Biggar

BIGGAR Rugby Club head coach Anthony Posa feels his troops acquitted themselves well during most of Saturday's 20-10 home league defeat against new champions Stirling County.

After a sloppy opening spell which saw Biggar trail 17-3 after 15 minutes, the Hartreemill men rallied to reduce the arrears to only 10 points by the end of their penultimate league fixture.

"A lot of teams would have capitulated after making a start like that," Anthony said.

"But for the rest of the match we showed a lot of heart and probably shaded it.

"I was proud of the boys. We had the edge on Stirling in every area other than scrum."
