We also speak to Quothquan girl Rachel Barr, one of only nine people from throughout the UK to be picked as an equestrian helper at this summer’s Olympic Games in London.

There’s a full round-up of last weekend’s junior football matches, including the 1-1 draw between title rivals Forth Wanderers and Lesmahagow Juniors at Kingshill Park and Lanark United’s penalty shootout loss to Glenafton in the New Coin Automatics Cup.
