Thrilling fundraiser at Carluke Golf Club Ladies Open Day

A great golf event was not the only highlight of Carluke Golf Club’s Ladies Open Day, which also saw a raffle and tombola raise £720 for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).

Carluke ladies captain Ann Young later presented a cheque for this amount to CHAS volunteers Margaret Gillespie and Robina Wilson.

Eventual competition winner was Alloa Golf Club captain Sheila Travers, whose net score of 68 clinched the Roy Carnegie Trophy.

A total of 112 ladies, mostly from all over Lanarkshire, took part in the tournament on May 17.
