Tinto Hill Runners race away

The 12 members of the Tinto Hill Runners quite literally have a steep inclination for exercise!

They have just completed their first season in the Scottish Hill Runners race calendar, including last month’s Tinto Hill Race.

Organised by Edinburgh-based Carnethy Hill Running Club, that race was contested by 266 runners including first Tinto runner home Simon Turner. By leading his club’s runners, the Thankerton man became Tinto Hill Runners’ first club champion.

In a bid to attract new members, the club has arranged a training afternoon at Tinto Hill, meeting in the car park from 1pm this Saturday December 10.
