Celtic Football Club gets into the festive spirit this week with the launch of it’s Christmas film for 2024 featuring some special guests.

The film themed around Hoops and Dreams is a heart-warming festive tale, following life-long Celtic supporter, Joe and his granddaughter, Lily as they get ready for their first festive season without Joe’s beloved wife Margaret. They go on to experience a very special Christmas where their dreams become reality, thanks to some of their favourite Celts.

The club says: “This is a film for anyone who has ever wished they could play for Celtic – sometimes, with a little bit of festive magic, even the wildest dreams can come true.

“It’s 10 years since Scott Brown pulled on a green and white onesie for the first Celtic Christmas film and we hope the latest edition will bring a smile to the faces of Hoops fans everywhere as the club and Celtic FC Foundation come together again, along with some very familiar faces to make Christmas magic.”

Lifelong Celtic supporter and Scottish television star, Tony Roper, makes his return to the screen for the first time in 10 years as he stars as Grandpa Joe, whose uplifting story is bound to tug on the heartstrings of those who relate to him as Christmas approaches.

The film kicks off the Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal. You can watch the full clip here.

The club says: “Celtic Football Club’s retail division has curated a very special Walfrid’s Wishlist of gifts, and every festive item you purchase for loved ones from this special collection will result in Celtic retail making a direct contribution of financial support to Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal.
