Triple team effort at Biggar bowls tournament
Jim Provan, Betty Provan and Grace Campbell teamed up to win the South Lanarkshire Leisure Seniors 60+ Short Mat Bowls Christmas Triples event at Biggar Municipal Hall.
The trio had a final victory over Jim Coutts, Kit McKendrick and Roy Swan, at a tournament contested by over 35 senior bowlers.
Beaten semi-finalists were the teams of Jim Masterton, Marilyn Masterton and George Lawson and Mary McBride, Betty Lambie and Russell Walker.
Organisers Clydesdale Sports Council thank William Ramage and Irene Robertson, secretary of Biggar Indoor Bowling Club, and her committee.
