A fantastic attendance of around 90 people attended the event, the fourth annual ceremony by the United Clyde Angling Protective Association (UCAPA).

Prior to the official opening, Paul told the gathered audience at the Popinjay Hotel, also including local fishermen and Clydesdale MSP Aileen Campbell: “Last season was a difficult one for many fishermen in Scotland.

“But the upper Clyde and mid Clyde fish better than more famous rivers like the Tweed.”
