United boss remains optimistic

CUMBERNAULD United boss, John Queen remains optimistic heading into this weekend’s mouthwatering cup tie with Auchinleck Talbot, despite losing to Clydebank on Saturday.

“It’s a massive game for us,” he said.

“They are a top team who are playing well. But this is the kind of game you should be playing junior football for, so we want to give it our best.”

Queen is sure his players will get themselves fired up for Auchinleck Talbot, who enjoyed a Scottish Cup run earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, Kilsyth Rangers assistant boss, Martin Mooney is revelling in the success that Rangers have been enjoying recently.

Sitting top of the league and safely through in the League Cup, following Saturday’s 3-0 win over Vale of Leven, this could shape up to be an exciting season for everyone involved at the club.

“We are especially pleased as we brought in some players who haven’t played a lot of games this season, and they all performed well,” Mooney said.

“We now have a full squad to choose from which puts us in a strong position going into the end of the season.”
