We’re in Cumbernauld to stay, Clyde chairman vows

Public concern that Clyde were actively pursuing a move away from Broadwood Stadium has been kicked into touch by chairman John Alexander.

And with the new artificial pitch in place and Cumbernauld Colts Football Club stepping up their profile, the stadium looks set for an action-pack future capable of pulling in the crowds.

The club chairman confirmed this week: “We have recently signed a revised arrangement covering the next five years with an option of an extension of our let at Broadwood.

“But the prospect of a move could still be there if we cannot achieve sustainability which meets our business needs.”
