William Cassidy raises £2300 for Spina Bifida Association at Carnwath Golf Club

OVER £2300 was raised from a charity stableford tournament played at Carnwath Golf Club, in aid of the charity Scottish Spina Bifida Association.

Event organiser William Cassidy, whose 18-year-old daughter Chantelle was born with spina bifida, was thrilled that 72 golfers took part in separate four-man teams.

“That far exceeded my expectations,” said Scottish Coal machine operator William (42), of Lesmahagow.

“And Chantelle is ecstatic with the amount that has been raised.
