Woodburn fishery report

It was a very hard week due to the extremely hot weather but those who persisted were well rewarded.

Mr Jackson from Kirkintilloch had a brace weighing 5lbs 2oz, Mr Cooper from Kirkintilloch had four for 9lbs 3oz, Mr Murray of Cumbernauld caught three for 7lbs 8oz, Cameron Fleming of Kirkintilloch had two for 6lbs 3oz and Ian Goody from Cumbernauld took seven on catch and release.

Mr Robertson from Bishopbriggs caught a nice blue trout weighing 2lbs 8oz, David Bread had one for 2lbs 6oz, Ian Campbell of Kilsyth took four for 13lbs 2oz and Mr Wright from Kilsyth had two for 5lbs.

John Maxwell from Denny caught two for 9lbs 8oz and Sandy Anderson from Glasgow caught a tagged fish for 4lbs 2oz and received a prize of £50.

The top taking flies include the Pink Blob, Ally McCoist, Booby Nymph, Damsel Nymph but overall dry
flies have been extremely good.
