Youngsters take to pool in bid for Scottish swim titles
A total of 70 sporty youngsters, aged from 9-18, swam their hearts out at the Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome in a bid to claim a place at the prestigious gala.
The Championships will be held at Tollcross International Swim Centre early in 2014 and hopes are high that some local youngsters will have made the cut.

Hide AdResults from heats being held across the country will be compiled and the fastest times revealed nearer the time.
Councillor Stewart MacDonald, chair of the East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “These heats were held in the very pool used not so long ago by Olympic silver medallist, Michael Jamieson to train en route to his London 2012 games glory.
“Hopefully these young swimmers are inspired by his achievements and will go on to find their own success.
“It’s important to remember too, the value of swimming for the health and fitness of young people and indeed the not so young. Well done to all who competed.”

Hide AdThe heats were free to enter thanks to a partnership between East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust, East Dunbartonshire Council, Scotia Amateur Swimming Club (ASC), Kirkintilloch and Kilsyth ASC, and Milngavie and Bearsden ASC.
