Comedy isn’t just for adults though and St Margaret’s High pupil Ryan brings his special brand of stand-up and live music to Airdrie Town Hall on Sunday, October 23, headlining alongside other young comedians in a fun family-friendly afternoon gig.

The 14-year-old first made headlines after his Alex Salmond impression caused a stir during the Scottish referendum, with the former First Minister retweeting a video of the skit.

Despite his young age Ryan shows bags of confidence once the spotlight is on him.

He said: “Before I go on stage, I read over my script, take a walk around and just wait to be called.

“I maybe feel some butterflies, well caterpillars actually, because once I’m on stage I just feel great! Once I come off stage I think to myself, why was I ever nervous?.”
