Despite filming for months in Glasgow, Batgirl will not be released. The shock decision has also led to more questions over the future of The Flash, another Warner Bros film shot partly in Glasgow which has yet to be released. Parts of Glasgow were transported back a century to feature as the backdrop for Sam Mendes’ World War 1 epic 1917. Govan Graving Docks were featured during a nerve-shredding scene in which lead character Will crosses a river via a demolished bridge.

A stunt double on a Triumph motorcycle and a McLaren sports car are driven down Cochrane Street during the filming of Fast and the Furious spinoff in Glasgow.
