DESERT Island Books at Eastwood House. Authors Anne Donovan and Louise Welsh discuss their favourites with host Keith Charters. 10am-2pm, and tickets are £10/£8 conc from 577 4956.

BULB fair at Greenbank House. 11am-4.30pm, and entry is free.

TINY to Teens sale at Mearns Kirk Hall, to raise funds for FEAT (Fiona Elisabeth Agnew Trust). 2-4pm for preloved cots, prams, toys, clothes and more.

Sunday September 21

MEMORY Walk at Rouken Glen Park, for World Alzheimer Day. 1pm, and the short walk lasts half an hour. Register at the visitor centre or online, and raise funds via a sponsor form (available from www.alzscot.org).

POLLOKSHAWS Heritage Group’s weekly meetings have resumed. 1pm at the parish church hall (next to the police station) in Shawbridge Street. Tea will be served and all are welcome.

FIRST meeting of the season for the Eastwood Beekeepers Association. 7pm at Thorntree Hall, Thornliebank. Guest speakers covering all aspects of the hobby and anyone interested is welcome along.

BUSBY Flower Club’s monthly meeting takes place at the Redhurst Hotel, 7.30pm. New faces welcome — £5 for non-members.
