Fee, fi, fo, fum at Eastwood Park panto

Panto season is getting into swing, and local thesps Eastwood Entertainers are giving a familiar tale a musical twist with their version of Jack and the Beanstalk.

In the Eastwood version, Jack, mum Dame Trot and wee brother Jimmy are skint, and they have to sell their cow Jessie to pay the evil Baron his rent.

Jack happens to be smitten with the Baron’s daughter Sue, who gets kidnapped by the Giant’s dastardly private eyes Bloodshot and Squint — and selling Jessie for beans instead of gold Jack gets himself into a world of trouble and adventure.

This fun and engaging re-imagining will be shown at Eastwood Park this week (December 2-6, 7.30pm show plus a 2.30 Sat mat). Tickets are £10-14 fom 577 4956 or www.eastwoodparktheatre.co.uk.
