Jonathan releases first single ahead of debut album

Jonathan was first tipped for big things ten years when he led his school to victory in the North Lanarkshire battle of the Bands Competition.

Since then he has served an extraordinary apprenticeship, including a collaboration with seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer while studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

Jonathan went on to write the UNICEF 2014 Commonwealth Games theme song and has performed at prestigious private bookings in over 40 countries, often in front of celebrities including Will Smith, Tom Jones, Simon Cowell, Roger Federer, George Ezra, Elton John and Seal.

Now though the jazz musician, who has often been compared to Jamie Cullum, is now poised for the international public stage.

Jonathan has been spending much of the last year in Scandanavia getting Porcelain Sky ready for release on Friday, March 18, after signing a deal with Swedish record label Rocred.

However, he didn’t travel alone and brought in Brent Hebert from New York and Brit Award winner Pedro Ferreira as producers, plus a host of talented musicians from around the world including the string section from Scotland’s own Glasgow Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jonathan has already played a number of intimate gigs around Sweden as gets ready for a major tour of the UK and Scandinavian which kicks off at Oran Mor in Glasgow on Saturday, April 30, and is set to headline an industry showcase event at the prestigious Obaren in Stockholm.
