Kilsyth girls’ major success

The Ultimate Scottish Street Dance Championships in Motherwell saw children from Kilsyth group DejaVu – aged four to 16 – scoring remarkable success against tough competition.

It was a barnstorming performance which focused all eyes on the champion dancers from Kilsyth, who appeared unstoppable as the awards started to pile up.

DejaVu lifted first place and are now champions in three sections.

Spokeswoman Vicky Williamson said: “Our other under ten team also came fourth in their section which was amazing as they were the youngest in this category.”

She added: “I want to give a special mention to ‘Illusion’, who made a breathtaking pyramid and staged a fantastic routine.

She added: “This event is the best DejaVu have ever done, and it justifies all the hard work put into the training for this event.

We are so proud of everyone who competed and this simply shows that hard work certainly pays off!”
