LGBT musicians take the spotlight

Glasgow musician Charly Houston heads up a showcase at Broadcast this Sunday (Apr 19) with Gay as Folk.

The event will feature 13 LGBTI musicians, all putting aside uncomfortable pronoun usage and demanding respect for performers of all sexualities, genders, shapes and sizes.

Charly explained: “We also want to promote that pay to play is not okay — everyone involved in the event will receive a fee. We are also in partnership with Pride Glasgow, who will be bucket-shaking and scouting the stage for the festival in August.”
