It might not look likely for a white Christmas but a breath-taking new film from Ski-Scotland should get you sharpening the edges of your snowboard and waxing those skis.

Full-length video ‘Shred 3’, which has just been launched, is packed with thrilling footage filmed over the past two winters at Scotland’s five mountain snowsports areas.

It follows a shorter two-minute version released recently.

The film was made for Ski-Scotland by Cut Media, the company which produced the famous and successful Danny MacAskill video ‘The Ridge’.

Heather Negus, chairman of Ski-Scotland, said: “We are delighted with the success of the two-minute edit which has been viewed online around 9,700 times in just three weeks.

“With some seriously good recent snowfall at the Highland snowsports areas, the time is certainly right to launch the full-length video with its stunning aerial sequences showcasing Scotland’s ski and snowboarding in our dramatic mountain scenery.”
