O2 getting the low down on Lawson

BRITISH pop band Lawson will be breezing into town next week as part of a UK tour.

Titled the Everywhere We Go Tour, the band’s Glasgow date takes in the O2 Academy next Wednesday.

Coming from apparently nowhere, the band’s début single, When She Was Mine, reached number four in the UK singles chart — as did their début album, Chapman Square, in the album charts.

Tickets cost £19 and the gig starts at 7pm.

Of the tour, lead singer Andy Brown said: “When the band first started, we always wanted to tour all over the world.

“Now we’ve been to America, Asia, Australia, Europe and it’s just getting bigger and better. But there’s no better feeling than playing a tour at home in the UK.”
