One man band is better for now with new line-up

The Chemikal Underground-signed, adopted Glaswegian (he’s originally from Nottingham) is Julian Corrie by day, a sound engineer who also happens to play DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist to a growing legion of fans by night.

At first glance, Miaoux Miaoux’s stuff sounds far too much of a beard-stroking muso’s bag to be fit for popular consumption — but here, the reality is an upbeat indie pop sound that’s instantly likeable and easy to bop along to.

And that’s probably why Julian has such a fan base — because critics, music bloggers and indie scenesters alike have been raving about him following low key show after show in the usual venues around the city.

If you haven’t heard of him before, then last year’s single Better For Now (taken from the album Light of the North) is a good 
introduction.

And for those who count yourselves as fans, the gig is this Sunday at 8pm.

It’s a special show too, as Julian takes a load off and introduces two new members to boost his previous one-man effort; live drummer Liam Chapman and bass player Liam 
Graham, and promises new material as 
well.
