The amateur group has been going strong since 1927 — so original members may have given up the acting gig, but those remaining are dab hands when it comes to treading the boards by now.

The Pantheon Club’s recent offerings have included Calamity Jane, Little Shop of Horrors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream — and now, they’re dusting off those leather jackets and pink lady uniforms.

Perhaps one of the best-known musicals, Grease follows good girl Sandy and bad boy Danny as they navigate the murky waters of romance at Rydell High.

Can Summer Lovin’ really lead to a lasting relationship?

And what about the jocks and cha cha dancers looking to get in the way?

Pantheon’s show includes all the songs, from Hopelessly Devoted To You to You’re the One That I Want (by way of Greased Lightnin’) — and for those of you who just can’t stay in your seat, there’s even a Sing-a-long night on Thursday (April 3).

Audience members are encouraged to dress up in their best circle skirts and leather bombers throughout, and the am dram group are aiming for a party atmosphere to raise the roof of the King’s Theatre.

Go on — after all, Grease is the word...

nThe Pantheon Club are at the King’s from Tuesday until Saturday (times vary). Tickets (£10-£26 plus booking fee) are available from 0844 871 7648 or www.atgtickets.com.
