Pic of the Week: It’s Lonely on Wrong Side of the Fence by Gary Winston

I was near a field adjacent to Loch Ard in the Trossachs last Autumn where a pony was being fed clumps of fresh grass by some children on the other side of the gate.

The image was taken very shortly after the children had left and the pony just looked very forlorn and I had to capture this sadness. I used the Pony’s eye to express the scene.

The image was taken using a Canon 6d using a Canon 70-200mm L lens at 140mm. Shutter speed at 1/10th sec, ISO 200 (hand held) using spot focus to concentrate on the eye and to use part of the Gate to complete the scene.
