Pic of the Week: New Glasgow by Colin McLatchie
The finished image has about 20 different layers and each of the space items is on its own layer.
I was inspired by a talk we had at the club last year by Mr Rikki O’Neil and my love of all things Star Trek and Star Wars. I am also passionate about my home city and just wonder what it might look like after I am long gone or we colonise another planet or world.
The original image was taken a few years ago on a bright sunny Sunday morning, the conditions were pretty good, but the bright sunlight caused slightly overblown highlights on the roofs which stopped me using the original image at the club.
After the images creation the highlights didn’t seem to have the same relevance.
