Pic of the Week: We Have Lift Off by Ken Wilkie
This shot was taken in Dean Castle Country Park in Kilmarnock.
I had been standing watching the motionless heron for quite some time when it suddenly took off and headed for the bank.
The flight was very short and this was my favourite shot from a quick burst. Nikon D750 at 600mm, 1/1250 at f5.6, ISO 1600.
