Pupils enjoy Burns Supper

The annual Burns Supper held at Kilsyth Academy was a great success.

The annual event was well attended by senior pupils and staff, making an altogether excellent evening.

School vice-captain Darren Smith chaired proceedings and the haggis was carried in by Katie Laggan, accompanied by Jack Thomson on the bagpipes.

Scott Duncan recited the Address to the Haggis and Louise Hay delivered the Selkirk Grace.

There were contributions from Mrs Caldwell, Darren Smith, Glen Livingstone, Sophie Thomson, Jenny Brownlie, Callum Dickson, Gavin Glover, Ailsa Maloney and Gordon Airlie, Mr Reilly rounded off the formal part of the evening with a well deserved vote of thanks, followed by Auld Lang Syne.
