Strike up the band
Big band fans are invited to Carlibar Primary later this month for annual event An Evening of Brass.
Kicking off at 7pm, the concert features performances from Barrhead Burgh Band, Croy Brass Band, Levern Valley Community Brass and East Renfrewshire Brass Ensemble.
Tickets are £5/£3, available at the door — and who knows, you could be watching the music stars of tomorrow, as 75 per cent of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland under 16s start their careers in East Renfrewshire.
