Swing on over to the King’s

YOU know what they say...there’s the original and best, and then there’s the next best thing...

Catching a show with the original Rat Pack might be a bit tricky these days, so here’s a pleasant alternative; the biggest tribute tour is back in town and, as ever, playing it oh so cool.

The Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular features a trio of world-class performers taking on the roles of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior.

It’s big, it’s live, and it features all the classics; Come Fly With Me, Under My Skin, Mr Bojangles, Lady is a Tramp, That’s Amore, Mack the Knife...need we go on?

The big band sound isn’t going away any time soon, with Robbie Williams jumping on the (ahem) bandwagon again (2013 album Swings Both Ways) and Michael Buble a perennial favourite among youngsters and grannies alike.

The stars of Vegas Spectacular are taking their audiences back to roots level though, singing the songs we all know as the originals would have done — and all the while promising glitz and glamour that the Strip would be jealous of.

As with last year’s King’s Theatre performance, Frank, Sammy and Dean are in town for one night (and day) only — so now might be the time to swing into action for those tickets.

The Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular is on at the King’s on Friday (Jan 31), 3pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are £19.90 - £25.90, available from 0844 871 7648 or www.atgtickets.com.
