The return of Celtic Connections

The countdown to Glasgow’s now international music fest Celtic Connections is on as the fun kicks off next Thursday (January 15).

Running until February 1, the festival takes place in 17 venues across the city covering traditional and roots music, world, indie, jazz, folk, soul and Americana.

This year’s festival celebrats one of British folk’s pivotal figures, Ewan MacColl, with a night curated by his own sons, Calum and Neill, and including swaggering Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.
