Enjoy a cockney knees up at Motherwell Concert Hall

The cast of me and My Girl take to the stage next month.

The club last performed this show in 2000 to audiences in Hamilton and are pleased to be able to bring it to a whole new audience this time around.

Set in the late 1930s this comedy musical tells the story of unapologetically unrefined cockney gentleman Bill Snibson who learns he is the 14th heir to the Earl of Hareford.

Me and My Girl was adapated from their original book and lyrics by Douglas Furber and L Arthur Rose with music by Noel Gay and later revised by Stephen Fry and Mike Ockrent.

The show offers lots of laughs, and music which will be well known to audiences including Leaning on a Lamppost, The Lambeth Walk and The Sun has got his Hat On.

There are three performers who are reprising their roles this time around; Gordon Watson (Bill Snibson), David Black (Parchester, the Family Solicitor) and Paul Nardone (Charles).

There are also several chorus members who were in the previous production including George and May Nardone, the original Pearly King and Queen.

Me and My Girl runs from Tuesday, November 15, to Saturday, November 19, with each performance at 7.30pm.

Ticket prices are £12 and £15, with concessions available for the opening night only, and family tickets (two adults/two children) at £40 for the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday performances.

A discount is also offered for group bookings of 20 tickets or more.
