MAGNERS Summer Nights returns to Kelvingrove Bandstand tonight, with gigs running until August 15. Doors 6pm for acts including King Creosote (tonight), Glasvegas (Sat), Joan Armatrading (next Thurs) and Echo & The Bunnymen (Aug 15), as well as a cider garden, street food and a chance to see the refurbished 2,500 capacity bandstand in action.

Friday August 7

TREASURE Trails and Trials at Whitelee Windfarm. Fun-filled family day of geocaching, munzees, foot and MTB orienteering. Runs 11am-2pm from the visitor centre. Free to join but booking essential on 614 0962, and remember to dress for the weather.

Saturday August 8

HEAD to the stable for Linn Park Fun Day. Fundraiser runs noon-4pm with gladiators, sumo and rodeo inflatables, pony rides, stalls and more. Proceeds to The New Art Support & Activity Centre.

Sunday August 9

JOIN the Dams to Darnley rangers for A Couple of Hours with the Flowers. 10am-12.30pm for a beginner’s guide to wildflower identification. No previous knowledge required, although booking is needed - 577 4053. Meet at the World Buffet car park.

SECRET Sunday Cinema Club at Scotland Street School Museum. 11.30am and 2pm showings of family-friendly films at The Corky - free event.

MANSEWOOD Allotments Open Day, 1-4pm. Home baking and produce available, activities for kids, raffle, and a chance to look around, meet plotholders, find out more about growing food and how to get an allotment.

BARRHEAD BabyCafe continues at Arthurlie Family Centre. 2-4pm every Thursday for free meet up for pregnant women and breastfeeding mums - partners and young children welcome too.
