Wine Circle

Stamperland Wine Circle welcomes new members who have an interest in understanding more about wine and the enjoyment associated with it.

Club members enjoy tastings, displays by leading distributors and the matching of different wines to certain kinds of food. There will be demonstrations on how to make wine and an opportunity to chat about to making your own very drinkable varieties. Friday, December 7

Spirit of Christmas

Join Muscular Dystrophy UK for an evening of joyful song and festive performance at the Broom Parish Church in Newton Mearns. Usher in the Christmas season and support families across Scotland, who are living with muscle-wasting conditions. Doors will open from 5.30pm with the concert starting at 6pm. Also on Saturday, December 8.

Big Christmas Lunch

Good food, drama, music, relaxation plus performances from folk and jazz musician Alastair McDonald. At Mearnskirk Parish Church hall 11-3pm.

Christmas Fare

Auchenback Active Limited is holding a Christmas Fare ofrom 6.30pm-8.30pm at Auchenback Resource Centre, Barrhead. Entry to the event is free but Santa’s Grotto visit will be £2 per child.

Saturday, December 8

Karaoke

Join Dino Martino and some of the best singers and entertainers in Barrhead at The Flying Horse for Saturday night karaoke from 8pm - 11.45pm.

Christmas Fayre

Bring the family along to the OLM Christmas Fayre at Our Lady of the Missions Primary School, Giffnock from 1.30-4pm. Entry is just £2.00 per adult (children are free) and includes tea / coffee mince pies/shortbread and free juice and biscuits for children.

Charity Fayre

The Redhurst Hotel are holding their annual Christmas Fayre in aid of East Renfrewshire Good Causes.Christmas market stalls indoor car boot stalls Santa’s grotto tombola and lots more. From 10am-5pm.

Christmas celebration

Celebrate the start of the festive season at the Neilston Christmas Celebration, enjoy the parade before the Christmas tree lights are switched on. Activities include festive market, music and live entertainment, craft events for the children, free gifts from Father Christmas and more. From 3pm - 7pm (parade and tree on at 6pm).

Karaoke

Bobby Deans hosts a weekly Karaoke night every Sunday at Sweeney’s on the Park. All singers welcome from 8pm - 11.45pm.
