CREEPY Crafts at Rouken Glen Park. Get in the Halloween spirit 6-8pm with free activities. Booking essential on 638 4121 or [email protected]. Children must be accompanied by an adult and wear suitable clothing.

FRIGHT Night at Whitelee Windfarm. Prepare to be scared by a ghoulish gang of misfits on a spooky mystery tour led by Whitelee rangers. 6.30-8.30pm - please wear warm clothes. Drop in event.

LADIES shopping evening at The White Cart, Busby. 7.30pm onwards for jewellery and accessories, make up and beauty, candles, flowers and Christmas wreaths for pre-order. Free entry and complimentary Prosecco on arrival.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 31

ART exhibition and sale by Linn Painting Group, Stamperland Church Hall. Original artwork from £30, plus craft tables. Admission £1, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

CRAFT fair at Shawlands Church. 10am-3pm.

SCARY Fairy Tale Trail at Pollok House. Expect storytelling, crafting, spooky selfies and snacks 11am-12.30pm and 1-2.30pm. £2 per child plus normal house admission and suitable for kids aged 4-12. Call 616 6410 for more info.

TRICK or treat at the StrEATery Spook Feast? We’re guessing the former, as the street food fest returns to The Briggait for a festive edition. From noon and entry is free - expect good eats from the likes of Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, Mighty Mexican and Firebird Alfresco.

FUNDRAISING car wash held by 121st Clarkston Glasgow Scout Group at the Scout Hall on Aidan’s Brae. 12.30pm-4.30pm and costs £3.

Free tea and coffee while you wait, and funds raised partly going towards the group’s mystery trip in February.

HAPPY Halloween Scooby Experience at The Avenue. 2-5pm for a free visit to the Mystery Machine and a meet and greet with everyone’s favourite ghost-hunting pooch.

GHOSTLY Goings On at Dams to Darnley Country Park. 5-7pm for free spooky fun with the countryside rangers, meeting at the World Buffet car park. Booking required and please wear suitable clothing/bring a torch.

HALLOWEEN Hootenanny at The Village Storytelling Centre, 6-8pm. Exhibition of work created over four weeks of spooky-themed workshops, as well as scary storytelling, live music and a haunted tour of St James’ Church. Free event.

SOUTHSIDE Soul at Pollok ES Social Club. 8pm-1am for soul, Motown and rhythm and blues records spun by Felonious Munk and guest DJs. Entry £5.

CLYDEBANK Male Voice Choir perform at Shawlands Church. 2.30pm start.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 3

MEARNS History Group meets in the Fairweather Hall,Newton Mearns at 7.30pm when Ian Johnston will give an illustrated talk on Ships for All Nations: the History of John Brown and Co., Clydebank. Visitors £2 entry.

EVENING talk at Rouken Glen Park by Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre, used for any wildlife emergencies in the park. Learn more about the rescue service 7-9pm - no booking required.

WEDNESDAY NOV 4

FIREWORKS at Glasgow Green, marking Bonfire Night. Funfair and stalls open 5-9pm and the big event takes place at 7.30pm. Entry is free.

CINDERELLA the Musical at Eastwood Park Theatre, presented by Lourdes Theatre Group. Runs until Saturday at 7.30pm each night, plus a 2.30pm Sat mat. Tickets £15/£10 conc.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5

WRAP up warm for the annual GHA fireworks display. Gates open at 6pm at Braidholm, and entry costs £7 for adults, £5 for ages 5-16 and free for anyone under. The fireworks go off at 7.15pm - tickets available on the gate and organisers advise arriving before 7pm.
