Window to the Past: Pollok Castle
All but forgotten is Pollok Castle: built by Sir Robert Pollok, the first Baronet of Pollok, the structure was destroyed by fire in 1882.
It was rebuilt in 1886 using much of the original surviving elements of the original.
The building was abandoned by the family in 1944 and was eventually demolished in 1952.
