Hide AdPollokshaws Road in the Southside of the city was named as the fifth best street on the list with it being recommended to foodies.
Speaking about Pollokshaws Road, the Sunday Times said: “ In Glasgow’s Southside you’ll find thriving pockets of indie shops, cafés and eateries, and none more so than Pollokshaws Road — lined on one side by sandstone tenements and on the other partly by Queen’s Park — and the surrounding streets.

“Make like a local and start the day at Burnfield Bakery for limited-edition treats such as danish pastries with graham cracker frangipane and chocolate crémeux served with sweeping park views (get there early to avoid the queues). For Japandi-inspired pastries, there’s Godshot Studio, a hip coffee spot — try the iced black sesame lattes with slow-roasted strawberries — and brilliantly curated concept store.
“If you like to host from home, Starter Culture is a must, on hand to help you build an enviable cheeseboard from its stock of the best in British and European cheese, accoutrements and wine pairings. For more booze, head to the Wee Beer Shop and the Bevy Store. And to elevate even the most basic of tables, Wild Gorse Pottery has an enviable array of wheel-thrown ceramics. Tuck in!”
Other streets which were included in the Sunday Times feature included London’s Nunhead Lane which topped the list, Bold Street in Liverpool and Hill Street in Belfast.
