JA Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort named golf hotel of the year

Fresh off the back of a £20million refurbishment and newly completed Clubhouse renovations, the award recognises the estate’s standout golf, hospitality and wellness offering, as well as its growing appeal among both international travellers and UK staycationers seeking elevated ‘stay and play’ escapes.

JA Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort has been named “Golf Hotel of the Year” at the esteemed Scottish Hotel Awards (Prestige), further cementing its position as one of Scotland’s leading luxury golf and leisure destinations.

Following an extensive £20million refurbishment in 2025 and with recently completed interior renovations of The Clubhouse, the accolade recognises JA Mar Hall’s exceptional guest experience across golf, hospitality, dining and wellness, welcoming both domestic and international travellers seeking a premium Scottish golf escape.

The multi award-winning 18-hole championship course offers uninterrupted views of the River Clyde and Old Kilpatrick Hills, watched over by the spectacular Erskine Bridge. Designed by Dave Thomas and laid out in 2010, the world-class par-70 course winds through natural woodlands and rolling, generously proportioned fairways, offering gently contoured USGA-spec greens and strategically placed bunkers for a dynamic yet challenging round.
