Award nod for Busby Hotel's general manager

The general manager of The Busby Hotel in Clarkston, has been shortlisted at the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Juliet Parry, has been the general manager at The Busby Hotel for nearly two years.

She has a wealth of experience in hospitality having entered the trade after school and has previously worked for the Marine Hotel in Troon and the Millennium Hotel in Glasgow.

This nomination in the general manager (Small Hotel) category adds yet another accolade for the venue. Already at this year’s Scottish Hotel Awards, they have received the following:

· Intimate Wedding Hotel of the Year (Glasgow & Clyde)

· Gary Quinn, People of Excellence Award for Head Chef of the Year

Juliet said: “I’m really surprised to receive this nomination but absolutely delighted.

“We’ve got a great team spirit at the Busby and every award or nomination we receive is further confirmation that we are delivering an excellent service for our customers”.

The Busby Hotel is part of the Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, who have nine boutique hotels in their portfolio.

Other hotels in the portfolio include The Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone, Boclair House Hotel in Bearsden, Glasgow and Bowfield Hotel in Howwood.

The Scottish Hotel Awards celebrate the achievements of Scotland’s best hotel and hospitality professionals.

The national winners will be announced on April 22 at the Scottish Hotel Awards annual Gala Dinner, which will be held at Edinburgh’s Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
