Busby staff scoop awards

The hard-working team at The Busby Hotel near Glasgow have carried off a collection of accolades from the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Gaining recognition for her achievements was Kathleen Swallow who was named Deputy Manager of the Year – and has been promoted to general manager of the Group’s Torrance Hotel in East Kilbride.

Kathleen said: “I’m delighted to win this award on behalf of The Busby Hotel. I’ve been able to take what I’ve learned from my time at The Busby Hotel into my new role as general manager of the Torrance Hotel.”

Other Busby Hotel winners included wedding & events co-ordinator Sarah-Jane Anderson andhead chef Gary Quinn, who both scooped Rising Star awards.

Juliet Parry, general manager at The Busby Hotel, said: “This proves we have a great team at The Busby Hotel. The Scottish Hotel people awards are important because not only do they recognise hard work and achievements, but they also highlight career opportunities within a thriving Scottish hospitality industry.”
