Giffnock teen joins Stewart Milne Group
Mark Bryden, 18, is set to train as an electrician with the award-winning house builder and timber systems manufacturer.
The housebuilder has increased its intake of apprentices to help meet the growing shortage of tradespeople as it embarks on eight new developments in the next six months.

Hide AdThe apprentices will work on the new developments with a range of Stewart Milne Group’s sub-contractors, training in a variety of trades including electrical, plumbing, joinery and bricklaying, while one is joining the design team as a trainee architect.
Bryan Galloway, construction director for Stewart Milne Homes, said: “Apprenticeships arm people with the right skills and experience to get the job done, excel and develop.
“We’re proud that many who complete their training with us choose to remain and progress their career within Stewart Milne Group.
“We’ve got several examples of apprentices who are now at senior levels in the company, not least of whom is our chairman and founder!”
