GIST strike on hold
A major local employer will soon know if it has successfully negotiated its way out of threatened strike action.
A Unite spokesman said: “Following ACAS talks last week, a fresh pay offer and improved terms and conditions package has been put forward by the employer. This is currently going through a consultative ballot process with our membership UK-wide and we expect to notify the employer of the outcome early next week.”
