Places for People picked up top awards for their regeneration work in Twechar in three separate categories including Best Partnership in Planning for Roman Fields, Small Affordable Housing Development of the Year for Davidson Crescent, and Community Partnership of the Year for The Twechar Regeneration Project. Development director Col in Rae presented Councillor Alan Moir, with the Homes for Scotland Best Partnership in Planning Award at a small ceremony.

Councillor Moir said, “Over many years a great deal has been achieved in Twechar through a number of groups, agencies and local organisations pulling together with the single aim of regenerating the village and bringing positive change. To have those very strong, productive partnerships recognised with this prestigious award is a great result for all involved.”
