Kirkintilloch butcher shuts after staff members have to self-isolate

Supreme Butchers at Milton Road posted the bad news on its Facebook site today (Thursday, September 24).

They posted: “We have taken the difficult decision to close the shop until the 3rd October.

“We have a few staff members safely self isolating as per track and trace guidelines.

“As we have a small staff base this leaves us at almost half capacity.

“Our wholesale service is running as normal.

“We will be reopening the shop on Saturday, 3rd of October.

“We trust you understand and thank you for all your patience and support. Our loyal customers really are the best.”

In response, customers wished their local shop all the best, with one posting: “Keep safe and we will be down when you are back up and running. Hate going anywhere else.”
